The Maintenance Excellence Engineer is responsible for building and advancing the organization's Maintenance Excellence capabilities by transforming maintenance operations from a predominantly experience-based and reactive approach into a data-driven, reliability-focused, technology-enabled, and continuously improving function.

The Maintenance Excellence Engineer is not intended to replace the day-to-day operational and maintenance responsibilities of the Technical Operations or Asset & Maintenance Management teams. Instead, this role is responsible for designing, developing, piloting, improving, and standardizing new maintenance capabilities. Once validated and matured, these solutions will be transferred to the Asset & Maintenance Management team for long-term operation and sustainability.
This position plays a critical role in the company's strategy to elevate maintenance practices from a traditional Preventive Maintenance (PM) model to an Asset Performance & Reliability (APR) framework, aiming to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and enhance factory automation capability.
Key Responsibility:
Reliability & Maintenance Improvement
- Analyze equipment performance data and develop Predictive Maintenance solutions to improve machine reliability and asset performance.
- Implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to optimize maintenance strategies.
- Analyze OEE, MTBF, and MTTR metrics to identify downtime causes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Improve maintenance effectiveness through data-driven decision-making and reliability engineering practices.
Automation & Digital Transformation
- Develop and implement Automation, IoT/IIoT, and Digital Maintenance solutions.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance maintenance efficiency and equipment performance.
- Support factory digitalization initiatives, smart maintenance systems, and Industry 4.0 projects.
Data & Asset Intelligence
- Build maintenance dashboards, reporting tools, and data monitoring systems.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret maintenance and asset performance data to generate actionable insights.
- Establish data-driven maintenance management practices and asset intelligence capabilities.
Project Management & Standardization
- Participate in technical improvement projects, technology transfer initiatives, and process standardization programs.
- Develop standardized maintenance methodologies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support the deployment of maintenance excellence programs across the organization.
Training & Knowledge Development
- Assist in developing technical training materials and maintenance documentation.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and capability development within maintenance teams.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Control & Automation Engineering
- Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Systems Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Industrial Digitalization
- Industrial Information Technology (Industrial IT)
- Or other related technical disciplines
Working experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Automation, Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, or related engineering functions
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Good understanding of:
- PLC, HMI, SCADA systems
- IoT/IIoT technologies
- Predictive Maintenance concepts
- CMMS/EAM systems
- Lean Manufacturing
